So what's new?
We've used state of the art video processing and increased the resolution for even better image quality and colour reproduction. This combined with the latest Sony Super-HAD CCD, gives the the X Series Compact a great picture.

Split Screen Imaging
We've included a new split screen function. This allows the printer to easily store an image on one side of the screen for comparison with a real time image on the other side. This useful feature allows for reel to reel colour comparison and monitoring of colour consistency throughout a job.

Waste Saving Features
We've added a Label Checking program, another great waste saving feature that enables the Compact PLUS to take images of each label on your print repeat in sequence. So if there is a specific part of a label that you wish to monitor in particular, switch on the Label Checking program and make sure you monitor this part of each label in your repeat.

Eliminating Language Barriers
To make the Compact PLUS even simpler to use and for maximum benefit from the additional features, we've also upgraded the On Screen Display to a new full colour icon based menu system. Operation of a video web inspection system could not be easier and with symbolic icons, all language barriers are bridged.

And finally, we've re-engineered the camera enclosure to get right to the edge of the web on the even the very tightest of machines, so you'll always get a good view of your registration marks.

X Series Ultra
The Ultra is Visi-tech's latest addition to the X Series family of narrow web Video Inspection Systems. The Ultra, like its other X Series family members is built on Visi-tech in house technology, and offers our customer the best value and quality in its price range.

The Ultra is the highest specification of the economical X Series, and comes with many features as standard, that are very often charged for as "optional extras" on competitive systems.

The X Series Ultra has been designed to provide a flexible solution to suit the needs of any printer:

Ultra - For Narrow Web:
Up to 500mm traverse as standard. Manual traverse systems comprise of aluminium extrusion and plastic slides. Motorised systems comprise of Vee Slide heavy duty track and rollers.

Ultra90 - 90x60mm viewing area, manual or motorised traverse.

Ultra110 - 110x70mm viewing area, manual or motorised traverse.

Ultra150 - 150x100mm viewing area, manual or motorised traverse.

UltraXL - For Wide Web:

Up to 1000mm traverse as standard. Both Manual and Motorised traverse systems comprise of Vee Slide heavy duty track and rollers.

UltraPro - Three chip camera and full frame imaging:

The Ultra Pro available for narrow or wide web machines, combines all the benefits and ease of use of the X Series Ultra products with the superb image quality and colour redition offered by the 3 chip CCD camera.

Manual Traverse or Motorised Traverse.
A cost effective solution is to have a manual traverse, where the camera can be easily reached to position it laterally accross the web. For just a little more money, the camera can be mounted on a motorised traverse, providing full remote control. With the additional motorised traverse the Ultras "Automatic Constant Scan" program will automatically wander across and down the web in a fixed pattern, allowing the opperator to view the whole of the web and to spot defects in the minimum time, and hence reducing waste and saving you money.

Fully Motorised Lens
The X Series Ultra also has a fully motorised lens. That means that all lens functions are controlled from the keypad, speeding up the operation of the system, and allowing the printer to spend more time printing.

As another standard feature we've included split screen. This allows the printer to store an image on one side of the screen for comparison with a real time image on the other side. This is useful for reel to reel colour comparison and maintaining colour consistency throughout a job.

Graphical On Screen Display
To enable the printer to take maximum advantage of the Ultra's rich feature set, the system is controlled via a remote keypad and full colour Graphical On Screen Display, and as with all X Series systems, simplicity is a key ingredient of the design.

Superior Image
Image quality of the Ultra is also superb. The system uses the latest Sony Super-HAD CCDs. In simple terms this means superior, crisper colour reproduction and coupled with an overall 44x zoom, the Ultra can magnify your print defects over 40 times on a standard 17" monitor.

Flexible Installation
And if all that isn't enough we've packed the design into a console footprint not much larger than a sheet of A4 paper, that can be easily mounted onto the smallest of print machines. The console is big enough to sit a monitor on, but also small enough that it can be mounted on it's side out of the way.
